Meet Gena
 

Hi,

I started GDW Bookkeeping, LLC because I love crunching numbers and helping local businesses thrive.

​

I have been a bookkeeper for 25 years. I decided to start my own business in January 2026. I felt it was time to choose to have the freedom of working from home and taking life a little slower, which means spending more time with my granddaughter.

​

I was born in Iowa City, IA. I lived in Iowa and Nebraska for most of my young life, then moved to Colorado with my parents when I was 19. I went to college while raising my son and was fortunate enough to also have a granddaughter. After certain events changed my life, I moved to Oregon to be with family and have been in Oregon for about 14 years.

My education includes an associate's degree in computer information science with a minor in business management.

I am certified, through QuickBooks, in A/R, A/P, and Payroll. I am also a member of the QuickBooks Pro Advisor program.
